You can open a Regular Savings Account with a minimum $5.00 deposit. This initial deposit also establishes your membership with Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union.

A savings account is generally designed to help you set money aside and grow your savings, while a checking account is designed for everyday spending and transactions. Depending on your needs, you may benefit from having both.

Dividends can be added back to the account, transferred to another Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union account, or mailed to you each month. Annual Percentage Yield applies when the dividend is reinvested in the account. Certificate Accounts (other than Educational Savings) can be designated as an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) or Health Savings Account (HSA). Talk to a financial advisor regarding individual scenarios. Any certificate account with new money of $10,000.00 may add 0.10% APY to the dividend rate featured above. With an active direct deposit, add 0.25% to current dividend rate. Ask for details.
